5 Healthy and Easy Air Fryer Meals

Air fryers are a marvelous modern tool. They make it possible to have healthy and tasty meals at home, at your convenience. The cook places the food they want to prepare in the air fryer basket and the air fryer brings in a rush of hot air. Similar to oil cooking, this air surrounds all parts of the food cooking. If you cook a lot and you want to reduce your consumption of oil, an air fryer is a great way to cut calories and trans fats, but still have tasty meals.
Here are five popular and easy meals to make in your air fryer:

1. Air fryer garlic herb chicken breast
Garlic, herbs and chicken breasts merge well in this easy recipe that makes a delicious, low fat protein rich meal. Give each chicken breast a quick coat of oil. Add in your favorite herbs and sliced garlic. Place in the fryer for ten minutes at 400 degrees celsius or 750 degrees fahrenheit. Examine closely to make sure all chicken breasts are browning well. Return to the fryer for an additional four to eight minutes. Remove the chicken from the fryer and let them rest for at least ten minutes. In the meantime, save some oil and herbs to coat the cooked chicken breasts well with this tasty Mediterranean sauce.

2. Air fryer cauliflower wings
Cauliflower and air fryers are a natural mix. This simple recipe can be easily prepared for a tasty quick meal. Simply cut the cauliflower into bite sized pieces. Coat with egg wash and flour. Add breadcrumbs. Panko crumbs are ideal. Let sit until excess batter falls off on a rack. Place in the air fryer at 350 degrees celsius or 660 degrees fahrenheit for ten minutes. Flip the items so they are cooking evenly. Leave it for another ten minutes. Then take them out and serve the pieces hot with a humus or Buffalo sauce dip.

3. Air fryer honey garlic salmon
Salmon is cooked to moisty flaky goodness in an air fryer. For this healthy and filling recipe, add a salmon filet for each family member. Pair with two tablespoons of honey, a dash of soy sauce and fresh, minced garlic. Marinate salmon with honey, soy and garlic in the fridge for at least half an hour prior to cooking. Heat the fryer to 400 degrees celsius or 750 degrees fahrenheit. Keep the salmon in the fryer for at least seven minutes. Then remove, and let the salmon sit for another two or three minutes and serve with extra soy and honey, for taste.

4. Crispy Brussels sprouts
Well prepared Brussel sprouts are a joy to eat, and full of nutrition to boot. With that in mind, you’ll find this recipe easy and fast. Remove the ends of the Brussel sprouts and let them sit in a water bath for about ten minutes. Heat the air fryer to 375 degrees celcius or 700 degrees fahrenheit. Pat the vegetables dry and add the oil of your choice and toss thoroughly. Cut them in half and place in the air fryer. They should take about five minutes to fry all the way through. Add your favorite toppings (i.e., parmesan, herbs) and then serve hot from the fryer.

5. Air fryer roasted asparagus
Air fryers bring out the innate and wonderful flavor of this tasty springtime veggie. Take a bundle of asparagus and trim the ends. Add oil, pepper and other fresh or dried herbs (i.e., garlic, chili, lemon, etc.) and coat thoroughly. Place in the air fryer basket and heat to 400 degrees celsius or 750 degrees fahrenheit. Allow the asparagus to sit in the fryer for about seven minutes in order for each stalk to heat up naturally. Place cooked asparagus on a plate and serve right after you take it out of the fryer basket.
